Plate Tectonics
In this part of my website I will be sharing some cool, and interesting facts about Plate Tectonics.
Here is some more info:
The first thing to know that there are a ton of other plates. Some can be bigger than others, while others are smaller. But remember there are seven of them. All these plates make the Earth's outer shell, which is called the Lithosphere. This part includes the crust, and upper part of the mantle. The movement of these plates causes it to make three different types of tectonic boundaries.
- Convergent is where different plates move into one another.
- Divergent is where different plates move apart from each other.
- Transform is when diagonally (sideways) in relation to each other.
The seven different plates are called:- African Plate
- Antarctic Plate
- Eurasian Plate
- Indo - Australia Plate
- North American Plate
- Pacific Plate
- South America Plate
That's just a quick summery of the plate tectonics section on my website! Enjoy.
