The Rock Cycle
This image shows that the cycle can go both ways
In the next paragraph I will be talking about how the rock cycle is formed.
First metamorphic rock is melted to make magma. Then, the magma erupts on to the earth's surface. After that the magma hardens and becomes solid rock. This is called igneous rock. The igneous rock gets weathered down and form's into sediment. The sediment then go's down stream and is cemented and compacted to form a sedimentary rock. This process is called Lithification. After that process the sediment gets layered over layers. Which then becomes a rock called metamorphic rock.
The process is then repeated all over again. But remember the cycle can go the other way to!
